"The steps of the godly are directed by the Lord. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will not fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand." Psalm 37:23-24 (NLT)

Last weekend we were privileged to spend a few days in Colorado with two of our daughters, our son-in-law, and our granddaughter Rebekah. Rebekah, who is almost ten months old, is just learning to walk. Still a little unsure, and not quite ready to do it alone, she loves to walk with someone helping her. Here she is, stumbling over a pile of rocks, with her Mommy holding her firmly by the hand. We laughed at her eagerness, her little steps unsteady yet with no risk of falling as long as Mommy was holding her.
What a great reminder of how God is with us--delighting in every detail of our lives, just as we delight in our granddaughter. It's easy to forget, isn't it, that we're safe. That God is directing our steps and holding our hand, keeping us from falling as we stumble on our way. Oh how comforting it is to have this promise we can depend on, even when the circumstances around us may be rocky and uneven.
Grace to you--
Deborah
